I have a confession to make – I keep going back to Beccofino with the excuse that I need to write this review, however I never get down to writing the review up because I want to keep going over and over and over again!
Aside from the fact that they are almost round the corner from my house they have the best pizza EVER and a nice alfresco area. Though I never walk out of there without a substantial bill – not because the prices are high but because it is too good to share!
Beccofino have both an outside and indoor area though I prefer outside (always – they have heaters in winter). You cannot book so just have to take your chances. However, if they are full you can just sit by the bar and order a few drinks. The restaurant is moderately sized so you will eventually get a seat (unless you are a big group!).
They always have a great range of specials including pizza, pasta, entrée and main of the day. However I tend to stick to the pizza and pasta although many choose to go for the mains. Love the desserts too, especially the semifreddo.
My only struggle is that the starters do not really lend themselves to the pizza and pasta and are more suited for the mains. It would be nice to share a starter and a main once in a while when my stomach isn’t that hungry.
Otherwise perfect – definitely one of my favourites!

So which is it, beccofino or vespa in this neck of the woods. For us we have fallen for vespa the majority of the time but beccofino when we have friends who might want more than pizza. There is somethng about vespa that makes you crave it after a while.
