Little Larder, New Farm

The Little Larder is not so Little when it comes to food – taste, quality and variety.

It is Little on size though which is probably a good thing – adds to its charm. You will find LL on Moray street just round the corner from Barker Street. It has both indoor and outdoor seating on the pavement. If you are going to go there as a group I would advise making a reservation beforehand as it is always busy and people tend to linger.

I have been there a few times for Breakfast but today was my first for lunch. We were lucky enough to get a table outside (speed, agility and good reflexes are a must to secure your table) and were promptly assisted, given water and handed over the menus.

There is an all day breakfast if you are a late riser, otherwise lunch options include plenty of salads, sandwiches and pastas – definitely one to suit your cravings. I went for the steak sandwich with a side of chips, whilst my partner went for the salmon and cream cheese and the side of chips.

The two sides ended up being one main (big) plate of chips – I do love chips – and the sandwiches both came with a side salad. They were both good and filling (though I don’t really like salmon). We also ordered two coffees after lunch – Di Bella coffees and both very well done.

All in all the bill came up to $40 – a good total for a Sunday Lunch. I would definitely recommend Little Larder so just head down there when you are next around New Farm.
